MODIFY COMMANDS IN AUTOCAD WITH DEFINITION

  • MODIFY COMMAND DEFINITION

Modify command:  Is  very  important  to  users  command  list  is  very  long

commands are for different work situation .It  helps in to make our drawing more creative  and

 attractive and

help in complete the sketch. These are making our drawing more beautiful  by  numerous  tools .

Modify  command  is  very  easy  and  tricky  because  in  number  they  are  more  and  some

commands  are  work  similar  to  each  other .And  make  our  drawing  very  fast.

  • MODIFY COMMANDS ARE

1.  MOVE  : Move a selected object in a specified direction .It moves the object with

precision   and   with  accuracy. You  can  also  use  other tools to  move the  object  in  specified

direction like grid snaps, object snaps, and other tools to move object.  After selection  of  object

following points appear.

Options in move command

Base point : Specifies start point to move

Second point : In combination with the first point ,

specifies a vector that indicates how far ,and in

what direction , the selected objects are moved.

Displacement :  Specifies a relative distance and direction.

  • Procedure to access

  1.Short key : M

   2.Access from : Menu bar > Modify > Move

    3.Ribbon Menu : Home > Modify panel > MOVE

2.COPY :  Copy  command  is  used  to  copy  of any object and  it  is  very popular in

autocad . It  is  very useful and very fast to making autocad drawings in proper manner .By the

insertion of copy mode we copy multiples of object in one  time   automatically. Multiple  copies

created automatically. This  is very great, unique  and  very fast mode to complete our diagram

in  precision  manner .

  • Procedure to access

1.Short key CO

  2.Access from   Menu bar > Modify > : CO

    3.Ribbon Menu :  Home > Modify panel > : CO

3.ROTATE COMMAND:   Rotate  command  is  to  rotate  the

selected object at specified angle . Rotate command is very important command in autocad  for  users

.There is sub-command option available in rotate command to copy the selected object

specified  angle . This  is  very  useful option in rotate command for users or beginners complete

their sketch rapidly like a multiple copies automatically  drawing will more precise or accurate

in to read  carefully . Rotate  command  is  like a  mirror  command  in some cases  of drawing.

  • Procedure to access

 1.Short key :  RO

  2.Access from :  Menu bar > Modify > ROTATE

   3.Ribbon Menu Home > Modify panel >ROTATE

4. MIRROR COMMAND:   Mirror command is more useful to

 create

drawing in proper manner or to built a accuracy drawing in autocad . Mirror command is also

used in

3d softwares  named like solidwork, catia,  revit , creo. Mirror command is most important for

autocad

users. By mirror command you save  your  time ,built   a  accurate  drawing  and  more  precise
.Mirror

the object easier and quicker for mirror command select the object specify first point of mirror

 line

and second point of mirror line then it create a symmetric objects .During mirror operation the

options  available  to erase  the  source  object  yes/no  if  you  enter

yes option then source object deleted

and their mirror object only show but if you enter the second option NO then the source object

their symmetric  object both  appear  in working  area .This  is  very  useful  option

that is more interesting to autocad users and their work is done in very short time as compare

to other

tools.  Mirror   command   is   only   apply   to objects.  It  is set by default  in mirror  command

  • Procedure to access

1.Short key :  MI

2.Access from :  Menu bar >

Modify > MIRROR

3.Ribbon Menu : Home > Modify panel >MIRROR

5. ARRAY COMMAND : Array command is mostly used by autocad

proffesionals to design big drawings . In array command we  select  the  object  and press enter

option  appear   1.  POLAR ARRAY        2.  RECTANGULAR ARRAY 3.     PATH  ARRAY

more beneficial for autocad users and  beginner  to  create  our  drawing  in  proper manner . In polar

array we  make  copy  of  selected  entities  around a circle about their base point .We enter the

no. of items and angle between them in polar array .For polar array it is not necessary that

your object

is only  circle it is  square, ellipse ,polygon ,donut, arc etc .Array command means arrangements of

of  sets  be  a  rectangle, circle  ,ellipse ,polygon.

A.POLAR ARRAY
  • POLAR ARRAY

B.RECTANGULAR ARRAY

B.  Rectangular array   : In  this array  we  enter the  number  of  rows  and

column and the distance between rows and column. It  distributes copies of the  selected  object

into any  combination  of  rows, columns, level .In rectangular array there is exit option you can

exit  from  rectangular  array  after  apply  the  command  to  source  object.

  • RECTANGULAR ARRAY IN 100 X 100 RECTANGULAR BOX.

RECTANGULAR ARRAY SELECTED CIRCLES.
C.  PATH ARRAY  : In  path  array  select  the  object and type  path  array  option

available  from  command  area  make  a  path  of spline or arc on working area and  create any

geometry like circle, square, ellipse, rectangle, .First draw the desired path from spline command

and arc command and then draw the object  anywhere  on  drawing  area  and  move  to  spline

starting point or from which point nearest point you make path array .Type number of items .

Total  number  of  items  you  want  to  array . In  other  words  or  in  the  name  of  array

become pattern . Same array types  circular pattern, rectangular pattern,  table .

  • Procedure to access

  1.Short key : AR

  2.Access from :   Menu bar > Modify
