ADVANCE MODIFY COMMANDS WITH
PROPER DEFINITION AND SHORT KEY
1. REGION COMMAND
- Region command is mot important command in autocad . Without apply region
command on object you cannot convert it into 2d to 3d. Region command is important
command in 2d or 3d . Region command is apply to the line segments in 2d . To join in
a single object. In 3d without region we can not extrude or apply any 3d command on
source object.
- For access to region command in 3D . To apply 3D tools on the source object first
you change the workspace switching from drafting and annotation to 3D modeling .
You can also access region command in 2D .Change the workspace switching to drafting
annotation . Then go to draw panel . This is one of the best command in autocad.
- Region command is used in AUTOCAD 2D to enclose the object. To apply other
command easily.
- To access the command type short key of region REG in command area. And select
the entire line segments. And press enter region created or loop extracted. You can create
number of regions on same page . By selecting the entire object by green window or
crossing polygon
- It is more useful command for AUTOCAD 3D.
Region command apply on object there shade changes to realistic.
PROCEDURE TO ACCESS
1. Short key : REG
2.Ribbon Menu : Home > Draw panel > REGION
3. Access from : Menu bar > Draw > REGION
2. HELIX COMMAND
- Helix command is more useful command for mechanical engineer. In autocad
normally its used to create helix path of bolt , and nut. It also used for making of
spring design in autocad.
- This is very useful and interesting command in autocad to make a 2D spiral and
3D spring . To access this command first change workspace switching from drafting and
annotation to 3D modeling. For helix command it is necessary to change workspace
switching from drafting and annotation to 3D modeling.
- You also find this command on draw panel. You use helix as sweep path to apply
sweep command . To access the helix command type short key in command area (helix).
Remember that you should change the workspace switching to 3D modeling for z - axis.
- After that specify base point for helix press enter. specify base radius press enter.
Specify top radius press enter. specify turns for helix path type their first letter ( T ) in
command area to enter the value of turns. After you specify height for helix. By enter
the value for helix height. It is more important command for mechanical engineers and
also for civil engineers . Mechanical engineers create by this command beautiful bolt ,and
nuts . Civil engineers create beautiful circular stair-case by this command .
