It is the vice-versa of extend command . If you access this command. You also type the

short key of extend that (EX). And press twice enter a rectangular pop-up appear.

access from modify panel . By left click mouse on their icon or symbol. There is one

3. LENGTHEN COMMAND

Lengthen command is similar to extend command. But the major difference is this

in lengthen command you can specify there new point . In extend the source line

meets the edge of the object. Lengthen command is used to increase or decrease the

selected line . If you drag the mouse in forward direction then it increase the source or

selected object . similarly if you drag the mouse in backward direction then selected line

decreases . Lengthen command is the best command in autocad . It is very important and

interesting command in autocad. Many autocad users , beginners, and proffesional designer

is waiting for updation of this command in autocad. This is very unique command in

autocad. And a very useful command. This command plays important role in creating

beautiful drawings . This command makes our work more easier and faster. You can also

use this command as an alternative to TRIM or EXTEND commands.
